Data sources & updates

See where the fax-directory data came from, what each confidence label means, when records were checked, and what changed on this website.

Where this data comes from

Fax numbers, receipt-confirmation phones, and accepted-document ranges were obtained through official information-disclosure requests (정보공개청구) to the Ministry of Employment and Labor via open.go.kr. Numbers can still change — confirm before you rely on one.

Verify before relying on a fax number

Government office jurisdictions, numbers, accepted documents, and filing practice can change. Confirm the correct office and successful receipt for your own filing.

Direct verification progress

The log below is generated from records carrying the practically confirmed status.

/ offices directly checked

Operating target: directly verify at least five additional offices per quarter.

Recorded verification log

  1. Loading…

A recorded check is historical evidence, not a promise that the number or filing practice is unchanged today.

Source & method

The site distinguishes a published source from an operational confirmation.

  1. 01

    Source spreadsheet

The initial dataset was prepared from the project-supplied MOEL regional-office disclosure spreadsheet. LaborMap Korea did not create the government-office numbers.

  2. 02

    Normalization

Office names, jurisdictions, fax numbers, phone numbers, notes, source labels, and confirmation dates were normalized into a structured JSON directory.

  3. 03

    Operational checks

A record receives the "practically confirmed" label only when a separate check is recorded. Other records retain the more limited "based on disclosure" label.

What the status labels mean

A confidence label describes the record's source. It is not a filing guarantee.

Practically confirmed

A separate confirmation date or practical check is recorded. Reconfirm before an important or deadline-sensitive filing.

Based on disclosure

The number is reproduced from the supplied disclosure data. It has not received a separately recorded operational check.

Not available

The source does not publish a complaint fax for that office. Use the listed phone number or another official filing route.

Change history

Material content and data changes are recorded here.

  1. Trust and guided-use update

Added this data record, a draft Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, ten targeted issue prompts, an in-page scanner route chooser, and clearer deadline and partner-status notices.

  2. Initial MVP dataset

Published 50 regional-office records from the supplied disclosure spreadsheet, including one separately confirmed record and one office where a complaint fax was not available.

Limitations & corrections

Directory transparency does not replace direct confirmation.

No live government feed

The directory is a maintained project dataset, not a live MOEL API. A number may change between updates.

No filing receipt guarantee

A successful fax transmission report does not by itself prove that the correct team accepted or processed the filing. Call to confirm receipt and keep evidence.

Correction channel pending

A public correction form or operator contact cannot be published until the legal operator details and privacy contact are finalized. Until then, use the listed office phone number to verify your own filing.
